Scholarship aims at the potential of rising China
MANCHESTER Business School has launched a scholarship for Chinese mainland professionals to study for its part-time MBA program in the January 2007 intake.

All Chinese professionals interested in applying can receive a grant equivalent to 25 to 35 percent of the tuition fee. Those interested should complete the online application form (www.mbs-worldwide.ac.uk/brochure/apply-online.asp) and submit an essay (maximum 1,500 words) on the topic "Your expectation on the MBA program offered by MBS" before October 31.

Interviews will be arranged and conducted in late September or early November.

MBS currently has more than 3,000 part-time MBA students enrolled in programs around the globe. MBS' MBA has been accredited by the AMBA, AACSB and EQUIS.

All part-time MBA students will receive the same qualification as the full-time MBA students. This year, MBS was ranked 22nd among business schools by the Financial Times, third in Britain and seventh in Europe.

In addition, the British government announced earlier that all MBS MBA graduates can receive a work permit in the country for 12 months.

Students are required to complete 12 modules plus a project within three to five years. They are also required to attend residential face-to-face workshops in Hong Kong, Manchester or other overseas centers conducted by an MBS professor.

Students can benefit from the combination of printed and electronic resources that help to make the program truly balanced in its approach to learning.

In addition, students in the program are never alone. MBS' dedicated officers in Hong Kong, Manchester and other overseas centers are available to provide administration and study support, and a global network of fellow students is accessible through the support site.

For details, phone (852) 2526-4694 or email mba@mbs-worldwide.edu.hk.

MBS Worldwide has been built up over a decade in offering a dedicated service to students globally. This global perspective is seen in the program and in MBS overseas centers, with bases in India, Ireland, Jamaica, Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore, in addition to offices in Britain. Students can choose their workshop locations in a flexible manner according to their schedule.

Britain's largest single-site university boasts a proud history of achievement and an ambitious agenda for the future. The University of Manchester has been reformed by merging the Victoria University of Manchester and UMIST. These two great institutions formally combined to form a single university on October 22, 2004.
