Program puts young executives on fast track to global success

2006-09-14

THE MBA program of Euromed Marseille Ecole de Management, namely AEMBA (aemba.com.cn), featuring specialized tracks, personal and career guidance and lifelong study, has attracted many managers in China and abroad.

Since beginning its joint program with Antai College of Economics and Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2003, Euromed Marseille has enlarged its local classes.

This part-time international program differs from other MBAs due to its two specializations - finance and global management. Managerial knowledge is of great need for talented young managers and executives who are on a fast track to leadership positions.

"Many top multinational corporations have set up their headquarters in China," said Dr William Wang, manager of Euromed Marseille in China. "They are recruiting more senior local managers with global vision. We are answering the penury."

During the 18-month MBA, participants will receive not only theoretical framework but also case and field studies based on in-depth teaching and research experience of the international faculty.

The 2006 intake will launch on November 1. Applicants are rushing to apply before the mid-October deadline.

This year, AEMBA is welcoming more than 50 participants, compared to 22 in 2003. When a student graduates from the program, the school also offers an opportunity for lifelong study, welcoming back their alumni to participate in business seminars and workshops. This is extremely welcomed by alumni and the current students alike. In addition, the program also provides mentoring to ensure personal development and growth.

Located in Marseille, France's second largest city, Euromed Marseille is ranked as one of the top-10 French business schools. The school has received the EQUIS quality award from the Brussels-based European Foundation for Management Development.

EQUIS is the leading accreditation system for business schools having demonstrated its excellence with respect to education, pedagogy, innovation, research and relations with industry.

Until now, only 87 business schools in 28 countries and regions are accredited.

In China, this oldest French business school has established extensive cooperation with top universities including Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China and Tongji University. In June, a group of government officials from Shanghai participated in the five-week World Trade Organization training program in Marseille.
