Topic: Change Management in the era of Financial Crisis
Description: Whilst China's growth has slowed dramatically in the financial crisis, Western countries have been undergoing major overhaul, with closures and cost cutting. Personal and corporate dreams and empires are being shattered as big names fall and often cease to exist.
Whilst this change is deeper and more severe than we have seen for many years, change itself is not new and has been always represented either an opportunity or a threat, depending upon how management react to it. In this short introductory session we look at change management, and look at the drivers, tools and strategies to ensure that change happens and that your business can profit from change.
The session will also explore your own willingness to change, look at some quick tools and tips, and get an overview of how change management is taught as a core management skill on the MBA programme.
Ian THOMAS, a Visiting Professor of Euromed Management Ecole de Marseille and experienced practicing international management consultant. Ian will be bringing his extensive experience of working in leading companies around the world and his personal experience of both 'being changed' and driving change programmes.
