CEIBS EDP ranks high in the Financial Times

THE China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) announced yesterday that its open executive education program ranked 20th worldwide in the Financial Times 2008 global business school rankings.

The listing marks a jump over the Shanghai-based business school's placement last year, when the school was not included in the rankings.

Among the 16 assessment criteria, CEIBS scored sixth out of the 50 schools listed in terms of "faculty diversity," which measures the mix of faculty by gender and nationality. It also came in ninth in a measure of repeat business and growth in income.

Hobbs Liu, executive education program director of CEIBS, said that the school had put much effort into program and service improvement. He said the new ranking was proof that the school was heading in the right direction.

Also yesterday, CEIBS teamed up with Zhangjiang Group to set up a CEIBS Zhangjiang Center for Innovative Entrepreneurship in the city's Zhangjiang High-tech Park.
