INTRODUCTION
China-made products are increasingly sought after in both the domestic market and overseas market. In the face of growing demand, companies are required to operate on a global level. They are faced with a number of challenges, such as how to source high-quality materials at competitive prices in the global market, how to improve product quality and reduce defect rates, and how to layout global footprints of plants and warehouses in order to supply most efficiently to the world. Multinational companies with a presence in China are eager to find capable professionals to support corporate strategic development. Competition over resources and products has shifted to fights over human resources - whoever puts together an excellent operation team is more likely to win out. Antai College of Economics & Management of Shanghai Jiao Tong University has succeeded in cultivating professional managers with global operational abilities through the deployment of the world’s best educational resources in collaboration with academic thought leaders in the operations field. The program ‘SJTU-MIT China Leaders for Global Operations (CLGO)’ was created to fulfill this mission. CLGO is a joint program between Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), bearing Antai’s vision of ‘producing world-class China operations leaders’, specifically ‘China’s COOs with international recognition’.

This EDP program, representing the joint efforts of the two schools, is designed to impart advanced knowledge in operations management, in light of up-to-date research findings by the two schools. A Manufacturing Industry Focus Designed for operations managers in manufacturing companies, this program covers various aspects in the field of operations management including planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, leadership and team building. Through the systematic teaching of theory and the sharing of real-world practices, we are dedicated to creating a new breed of China COOs, worthy of global recognition. Unique Professional Networks Being senior executives at leading MNCs or large Chinese manufacturers, participants are placed in an elite cohort to share industry experience and exchange real-world cases from different companies. Upon completion of the program, you are entitled to achieve the most privileged alumni networks across the world.
