Southeast University has become a comprehensive university of high reputation, have various departments of science, engineering, art, social sciences, law, economics, management, languages, etc., with engineering as its focus. The university comprises over 40 schools or departments with 42 undergraduate disciplines in all. It also has 9 post-doctoral stations, and offers 53 PhD programs and 104 master programs, it holds a national lead in architecture, civil engineering, electronics, information technology, energy, power engineering, transportation technology, etc. the total number of teaching faculty is 2600, including 1560 full or associate professors, 180 doctor supervisors, 3 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The university, which has 15 "Changjiang Scholar" Professor posts, can engage 30 scholars as "Changjiang Scholar" Professors, and now 10 have been engaged. At present, the full-time students number over 30000, of whom nearly 4000 are postgraduates.
