They are faced with a number of challenges, such as how to source high-quality materials at competitive prices in the global market, how to improve product quality and reduce defect rates, and how to layout global footprints of plants and warehouses in order to supply most efficiently to the world. Multinational companies with a presence in China are eager to find capable professionals to support corporate strategic development. Competition over resources and products has shifted to fights over human resources - whoever puts together an excellent operation team is more likely to win out.
Antai College of Economics & Management of Shanghai Jiao Tong University has succeeded in cultivating professional managers with global operational abilities through the deployment of the world’s best educational resources in collaboration with academic thought leaders in the operations field. The program ‘SJTU-MIT China Leaders for Global Operations (CLGO)’ was created to fulfill this mission. CLGO is a joint program between Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), bearing Antai’s vision of ‘producing world-class China operations leaders’, specifically ‘China’s COOs with international recognition’. |
